Our team of experts work with our contract partners to create and refine formulations. We will take your products from concept all the way to full-scale commercial production.
Experience and expertise deserve equipment to match, hence our state-of-the-art pilot plant. Configured to simulate Steuben Foods’ blending and processing conditions, our three pilot systems provide the flexibility to adjust heating profiles and homogenization pressures. Our goal is to provide a smooth transition from benchtop to commercial production. Our experienced scientists are here to assist, support, and validate new ingredients and formulations. We provide a wealth of knowledge generated from our history of running a variety of products under low-acid aseptic conditions.
Our R&D scientists can help develop products in categories including Low-acid Beverages, Yogurt and Yogurt-type products, Baked Goods, Creamers, Soups, Sauces, Smoothies, and Ice Cream Bases, to name only a few. The R&D team has extensive experience developing dairy and plant-based offerings. They work closely with our one-of-a-kind HydroReleased Ingredients facility.
Because we consider R&D to be a partnership-building function that is foundational to our shared success, Steuben Foods does not charge our contract partners for work in the pilot plant.
